I look forward to serving the families of the preschool and sharing the love of Christ.
I have worked with the children of our community through the Fremont Recreation Department, Ohlone for Kids, and by subbing for several local preschool programs. I was born and raised in Fremont and my family resides here still. I have degrees in Early Childhood Studies and Fine Art from Ohlone College and plan to pursue my BA. I love taking classes and attending workshops to expand my knowledge. My hobbies include reading, art, traveling, spending time with friends and loved ones, photography and hiking. I feel very blessed to be a part of Our Savior Preschool and look forward to working with the children and fostering a love of learning.
I have been at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool since 2004. I have cared for children since 1986. When I had my first child I became a stay at home mom. When my girls became preschool age I enrolled them at Our Savior. During this time I owned and operated a small family childcare from my home. In 2004 I reorganized my childcare to an after school care program to better suit the needs of my children. This new schedule made it possible for me to go back to college. I have now completed 24 units in Early Childhood Studies. It is my goal to create a caring and loving Christian environment in a safe and positive social climate where each child knows they are loved. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
I started at OSL in 1993 as a Kindergarten teacher and left in 1996 to have my first child Thomas now 15. Then along came Emma (13) and Diana (9). All three children attended preschool at OSL. I am now happy to be back helping in the three year old classes. I received my BA in Child Development from Mills College. I am also a Level 1 Educational Therapist through N.I.L.D. I live in Fremont with my children and husband Bryan.

I have been a teacher at Our Savior Preschool for 22 years. From 2000 to 2010 I was the director. I have returned to my true passion of teaching in the classroom. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and enjoy taking classes and attending conferences to stay current in the field. I was born and raised in Fremont and live here still. In my spare time I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I look forward to another amazing year with the children and families of OSL.
I started working with children when I was in High School. I did a lot of baby sitting until I graduated an then got a job working at the YMCA. I began as a teacher's aide and worked my way up to director of a school aged childcare program. I directed at a few different centers and worked at the YMCA for fourteen years. During that time I went to school to take Early Childhood Education classes. When I married my husband Ralph fifteen years ago I opened my own home childcare business to be able to stay home with my children. I enjoyed eight years of caring for infants through school aged children. My oldest son Jacob attended Our Savior Preschool and Kindergarten he is now eighteen years old, Christopher (13) attended one year, and my daughter Abby (8), spent two wonderful years here. I was so thrilled when a position opened up so I could work here. I feel that all of my children thrived here and I am so excited to be able to be a part of the teaching team. It is a true joy! This is a very special place and the Lord continues to bless me in my career. My family and I live in Fremont with our two dogs Shelby and Mojo and our kitty Zoe.
This is my first year at OSL and I am delighted and blessed to be here. I am originally from England, where I went to college to train as a teacher. I then went on to spend 7 happy years teaching kindergarten. On coming to California with my husband Rob, I spent the first two years volunteering at various schools. We moved to Fremont just before our son Matt was born. I worked at my son's preschool as a substitute then as a teacher. I also became a mentor for the YWCA in San Jose and brought their parenting class to Fremont. I was actively involved with my son's elementary school and found a position with Fremont Congregational Nursery School. I was there for sixteen years as a teacher and assistant director. Our son is now 22 and a senior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona. I stay current with educational issues and enjoy taking classes. I also enjoy reading, music, and time with friends and family. I believe that the young child's experience at preschool should be fun and meaningful. We are laying a foundation that encompasses all aspects of life, spiritual, academic and social. If that foundation is strong then it will last a lifetime.
I thank the Lord that I have been given this opportunity to work with the children and staff at OSL.
I started at OSL in March of 2011 as an aide in the TTH three year old class. I am currently taking classes to earn my Early Childhood Teaching Certificate. My sons Francesco (12) and Alessandro (10) were students here at OSL and my daughter Elisa is currently enrolled in the Pre-Kindergarten class. My husband Paolo and I chose OSL Preschool for our two older boys and when it was time to choose a preschool for Elisa there was no question of where she should attend. While there are several preschools closer to our home, the curriculum at OSL, educational values and the uniquely caring environment are appreciated and embraced.
